Between the Mountains and the Sea is produced by third year journalism students at the University of Wollongong and is a production of UOWTV.
It's recorded in the UOW Radio studios at the Wollongong Campus which is on the land of the Dharawal, Ilouri, and Wadi Wadi peoples. We acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional owners and the original storytellers of this land.

Between the ears of the human body is the brain, the complex and mysterious squishy organ that controls everything about who we are, our intricacies, our anomalies and our entire identity.   
In this episode, we’ll hear stories about the inner workings of the brain, and how our state of mind can affect everything, including those around us.

Story 3 – Jane, ADHD
ADHD has exploded recently on socials and in the media as psychologists, communities and individuals begin the explore and understand how people's brain can function differently. This is the story of a lady who was diagnosed as a toddler with ADHD yet didn’t seek treatment until in her late twenties.

Gambling addiction is a growing problem that affects millions of people around the world, and it’s devastating impact is felt not only by the individuals struggling with it, but also by their loved ones. Now, we follow the story of one man's battle with gambling addiction, and watch how it drew his brain in, and held it hostage.

Sleep is one of the most important aspects of our daily routine. Sydney tackles the interesting concept of lucid dreams in this piece.

Wollongong is a city with a storied history when it comes to sport, with many legendary players born and raised right here in the Illawarra. But they aren’t the focus of this particular episode …
On this episode you’ll hear from local umpires and referees, as well as players who’ve faced concussion and other serious injuries, and had their careers cut short. How do they deal with the pressure of managing players and the chance of making mistakes?
And for the players, where do they turn to when the dream of becoming a professional athlete is taken away from them?
